For us the upgrade from

For us the upgrade from version 5 was pretty smooth, but some of the old modules don't work at all on Drupal 6.

Once I update my test site

Once I update my test site to version 6 on XAMPP, what would be the best approach to getting it installed on my host's server? Is it as simple as copying my htdocs folder to the server using FTP or is there some other method.

Well , the short lifespan of Drupal is a direct result of it's creators mistake over security issues

Hey Ben,
As far as Actions

Hey Ben,

As far as Actions and Updated Status, you're correct - they've basically been moved into core.

For Update Status:
Basically, all that happened was it was moved into core. But there are people out there that didn't know about this functionality previously, and now they're made aware of it. No substantial changes have been made, as far as I'm aware.

For Actions: My understanding is that there was never any easy integration that would make it easier for people to actually perform said actions. In Drupal 6, it's now a -lot- easier to set them up, so in a way it's going to be new to a lot of people.

Now, on to your question about drupal.sh - it's not a fork of DruSH, my understanding (thanks Jeff Eaton) is that "DruSH is a complete package someone's building for a variety of tasks."

As far as getting it to run on a non-*nix environment, that's a good question. The script itself uses the shell's php command interpreter (apologies if that makes no sense, my understanding of Teh Shell is not as good as it should be), so presumably, if you can run PHP from the command line, you can run this stuff.

Phil,
Isn't Actions

Phil,

Isn't Actions available as a module for 5.x? You seem to suggest it has been moved into core, other than that, what has changed?

Is scripts/drupal.sh a spin-off/fork/inclusion of DruSH, the Drupal Shell module? Or is it something new entirely? Is it Unix/Linux only?

Finally, like Actions, isn't the Update Status available as a contrib module in 5.x? Has it been just moved into core, or are there substantial features/changes?

Thanks,
Benjamin Kudria
